The historic Carmel Bakery opened in 1899 on Ocean Avenue in Carmel-by-the-Sea, and remains today the oldest building in Carmel and the oldest bakery still in its original location on the west coast. For the first time in its 100+ year history, Carmel Bakery has opened a second location, inside the Portola Hotel & Spa in Monterey, CA.
